Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (Day Rotator & Every Other Weekend)(Night Rotator & Every Other Weekend)

 

Location: Salem, Massachusetts 

  Schedule: 36 hours per week, Day Rotation / Nights Rotation & Every Other Weekend 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Provide direct nursing care to a patient population recovering from surgeries including General, GYN, Vascular, Thoracic, Urology, Oral, Plastics, and Trauma.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, and manage a variety of medical equipment including chest tubes, NGTs, epidurals, and capnography.
• Work as part of a team with a clinician-to-patient ratio of 3-5 patients per RN on the Med/Surg unit and 2-3 patients per RN on the surgical stepdown unit.
• Utilize EPIC for all patient charting and documentation.
• Float to other units as required.

 

Qualifications

 

• Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of recent experience as an RN in a Med/Surg and/or Telemetry setting is required.
• Skills: Must be proficient in reading telemetry strips . Experience managing chest tubes, NGTs, epidurals, and capnography is required. Experience with arterial lines and neo-synephrine management is preferred.
• Certifications: A current Massachusetts RN License and BLS certification are required.
• Shift Requirements: This is a "Day Rotate" position, which includes all three shifts, and you must be available to work every other weekend.
• 2nd Shift Requirements: This is a "Nights Rotate" position, which includes all three shifts, and you must be available to work every other weekend.

Job Summary We are seeking a Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse for a 36-hour, long-term assignment. This position is for a day rotating shift and requires you to work every other weekend.
