Senior ETL / BI Application Engineer About the Role  This is not a development role. As an ETL/BI Application engineer, you will install and maintain Cognos, Business Objects and Informatica across the life cycle of operating environments for multiple clients with growing presence in the Azure cloud. Other duties include optimizing performance, installing updates as well as vulnerability fixes. As our presence in the cloud matures, other ETL/BI tools may be introduced. This is a remote position, requiring excellent communication, self-motivation, discipline and a solid work ethic. Responsibilities  + Install, configure, update, optimize, monitor, and troubleshoot Cognos, Business Objects, and Informatica components of larger PBM or MMIS systems. The immediate focus is on Cognos and Business Objects. + Collaborate with other teams on deliverables. + Respond to tickets and inquiries within the expected time. + Provide timely correspondence on actions and status as well as meetings. + Perform company administrative activities as required. (mandatory training, time keeping, goal/performance activities, comply with all policies/processes/procedures) + Be willing to work outside business hours to implement projects or system changes. Requirements  + The discipline and integrity to work remotely and communicate effectively. + Bachelor's Degree CIS, CS or related field. + 5 years of hands-on experience with Cognos v11 & v12. + 5 years of hands-on experience with Business Objects v4.3; clustered configuration preferred. + Hands-on experience with Informatica Power Center v10.x on Linux. + Hands-on experience with Tableau is helpful. + Hands-on experience with SSO technologies. + Hands-on experience integrating applications with Oracle. + Comprehension of basic networking technologies (firewall ports, DNS, etc.) + Excellent analytical and communication skills with strong problem-solving ability. + Deploy, test, troubleshoot, and performance tune across system life cycle. + Resolve problems reported by IT support staff and end-users within SLA. + Lead upgrade planning, testing, execution, and roll-back. + Participate in Incident Management, including "triage calls". + Evaluate security posture and resolve vulnerability scan findings. + Provide technical advice and assistance to application teams and software developers. + Automate tasks using java scripting when appropriate. + Supporting DR exercise prep and play active role in DR testing. + Willingness to work after hours for deployments, deliveries and issue resolution. + Participation in on-call rotation. + Create/edit published system documentation. + Perform duties as assigned. + Cloud operating environment experience is a plus. + Healthcare experience is a plus. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive.
