Overview i3 is searching for a Power BI Developer to support the Missile Defense Agency Information Management and Software Services (AIMSS) effort. The mission is to design and implement a Missile Defense System with multiple layers of protection. The Power BI Developer is responsible for the design, development, testing, verifying, sustaining and fully documenting developed software. This position is located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. Responsibilities Design and build BI dashboards and reporting solutions from the ground up, focusing on impactful insights and user-friendly experiences. Maintain detailed technical documentation and create release notes for new features. Monitor technological updates and emerging products. Provide recommendations for BI enhancement roadmap. Support partners around the business through feedback and coaching as they adopt and integrate with our BI products. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, align priorities, and ensure reporting solutions meet business needs Develops complex software applications involving graphical front-end interfaces, visualization toolsets, SQL Database interfaces, multi-user GUI interfaces, and rule base assessments. Works with application Product Owner to decompose Use Case entities into implemental software requirements. Performs software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software reviews, software risk analysis, and software reliability analysis. Performs analysis on new software developments and revisions to existing systems to enhance system efficiencies. Responsible for software testing and user/system requirements verification/validation processes and procedures. Troubleshoots production problems related to deployment of software applications. Evaluates implemented requirements in software to determine if these requirements were met in deliverable software. Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application integration and testing tools. Participates in development of software user manuals and technical reports. Works with project leads, developers, and end users to ensure application designs meet business requirements. Understands MDA test processes related to data management, scheduling, planning and commitments across all types of tests. Qualifications Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Additional experience may substitute for degree. Minimum 10-14 years of relevant experience. Working knowledge of current systems and applications. Practical experience with data modeling, data design, database programming and data analytics. Knowledge of database systems, as well as exposure to ETL software tools including best practices and methodologies. Knowledge and/or experience in: Translating data into informative visuals and reports. Technical change management when it applies to business data that is under data governance. Data and data domains. Experience in data warehouse implementations. Active Secret clearance required. Must be able to maintain the security clearance required for this position. Approved DoD 8140 certification. Must reside within a 50-mile radius ofRedstone Arsenal in Huntsville AL or be willing to relocate prior to start date. Ability to reliably commute to the office as business needs dictate. U.S. Citizenship. Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of office administration and procedures. Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
