Maintenance Technician

Location: Belvidere, IL

Salary: $35-40 per hour 

Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment by performing maintenance tasks and repairs. This role is crucial in minimizing downtime and maintaining safety standards within the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct predictive maintenance using diagnostic tools to foresee potential failures.
• Execute electrical repairs and troubleshoot electrical issues in equipment and systems.
• Provide mechanical troubleshooting and repair for a variety of machinery.
• Maintain and repair control systems to ensure proper functioning of equipment.
• Oversee building maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and functional work environment.
• Document maintenance activities and report on the status of equipment and facilities.

Qualifications

• Technical certification in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience as a maintenance technician working with electrical, mechanical, or building maintenance.
• General background in PLC or VFD troubleshooting and repairs preferred. 
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with control systems and building maintenance procedures.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
