Were laying the foundation for an interoperable network of autonomous AI services our infrastructure includes real-time payments, identity management, attribution, and programmable governance running on a custom blockchain built for AI.

Were looking for an AI Product Engineer who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and builds with conviction. Youll design, prototype, and help productize the SDKs, APIs, and interfaces used by agent developers and service providers.

Backed by General Catalyst, Paypal Ventures, 8VC, Temaseks Vertex Ventures and others, Kite AI is led by veterans from Databricks, Uber, and Salesforce, with research roots at UC Berkeley, Oxford, Harvard, and MIT.

What Youll Do

• Prototype Validate Spec Build. Youll own key flows from agent identity to payment coordination, iterating fast to define UX, SDK behavior, and backend logic.
• Design for Agentic Developers: Build SDKs and interfaces for developers creating AI agents. Define how they generate agent IDs, delegate permissions, and track usage.
• Developer Portal + Marketplace: Create the GUIs for agents to register, transact, and explore services (models, APIs, datasets) from the broader ecosystem.
• Architect agent and asset onboarding flows that are intuitive, modular, and enforce verifiable permissions and usage rules.
• Measure & Iterate: Design against activation KPIs.
• Help define new standards for agent safety, attribution, and decentralized monetization.

What You'll Need

• Hands-on experience building AI agents (e.g. LangChain, CrewAI, Eliza OS)
• Deep understanding of LLMs, reasoning, orchestration, and agent tool use
• Experience shipping ML products or infra into production
• Product velocity mindset: prototype fast, learn fast, ship fast
• Strong written and visual communication: clarity in specs, wireframes, and design docs
• Comfort working cross-functionally with engineers, researchers, and founders
• Familiarity with blockchain concepts
• Based in SF Bay Area. This is an in-person role.

• Experience designing usage-based pricing for APIs or AI services
• Previous work with decentralized systems, agent governance, or policy enforcement
