Position Purpose:The Welder/Fabricator II assists with routine welding and fabrication projects in the welding shop in order to put together mechanical structures or parts with precision. Prepares materials, sets up workpieces and operates and maintains welding equipment, using knowledge and experience of various welding equipment, methods and techniques. Works independently or under supervision, depending on the complexity of task. The Welder/Fabricator II exercises a solid level of skill in the trade and develops additional skills under the supervision of the Welder/Fabricator III.
