Job Title: Registered Nurse ER (Emergency Room) - Peds

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Shift: Rotating Shifts 7a-7p, 9a-9p, 11a-11p, 1p-1a, 3p-3a, 7p-7a. Primary shifts will be decided in the interview. - 12 hours a day

Expected Hours: 36 hours a week

Job Type: Contract , 25 weeks

Job Overview:

An ER Pediatrician is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing medical emergencies in children in an emergency room setting. They work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, including ER physicians, nurses, and specialists, to provide immediate, high-quality care in critical or emergent situations

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and triage patients presenting to the emergency department.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Perform emergency procedures such as catheterization, specimen collection processing, and neonatal ventilator management.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment plans and home community care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department.

Required Qualifications:

• AZ RN License/Compact License
• 2 years of RN Peds ER experience
• Education Requirements: Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Children’s hospital experience preferred.
• ENPC & TNCC preferred.
