Job Description

 

We are looking for a talented Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team for the school year.

Rate Range : $40.00-$55.00 per hour

Responsibilities would include:

  • Provide speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Work with students in one-on-one, small group, and classroom settings to support speech and language development.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy plans.
  • Support students with articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language, and social communication skills.
  • Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and technology to facilitate student communication.
  • Reinforce speech-language strategies and interventions developed by the supervising SLP.
  • Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and therapists to support students' communication needs.
  • Provide classroom-based support by integrating speech and language interventions into daily learning activities.
  • Communicate regularly with the supervising SLP, teachers, and parents regarding student progress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and therapy sessions as directed by the supervising SLP.
  • Follow all confidentiality and ethical guidelines related to student records and communication.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting, Communication Sciences & Disorders, or a related field.
  • SLPA Licensure in California (issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board).
  • Supervised clinical fieldwork experience in a speech-language setting.
