As a Software Engineer - Android within Uber's Finprod org, you will play a key role in developing the next generation of financial products that empower our customers to achieve their financial goals. As a Software Engineer - Android within Uber's Finprod org, you will play a key role in developing the next generation of financial products that empower our customers to achieve their financial goals. As an essential part of delivering magical customer experience, our team builds engaging solutions by tackling complex technical challenges unique to Uber's business.

You'll write reliable, maintainable code that other teams across the company depend on, and you'll collaborate closely with teammates to design, develop, and maintain user interfaces and features for our Android mobile applications.

What The Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points

---- What the Candidate Will Do ----

• Design financial services solutions
• Coding in Android (Kotlin or Java)
• Collaborate on code and design reviews, and write unit and snapshot tests to achieve full test coverage and quality standards for your code.
• Work collaboratively with other engineers and cross functional stakeholders, like Product Managers, Designers and Data Scientists

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
• 2+ years working with Android applications and technical software engineering experience;
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java , strong knowledge of both programming languages commonly used for Android development;
• Experience with Android SDK, strong knowledge of Android's core libraries, tools, and frameworks.
• Knowledge of Android UI/UX Design Principles, experience designing responsive and intuitive user interfaces;

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$167,000 per year - USD$185,500 per year. For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$167,000 per year - USD$185,500 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
