Job Description

Our client is seeking a Regional Nurse Consultant to provide clinical oversight, training, and regulatory compliance support to multiple nursing homes within an assigned region. This role ensures high-quality resident care, adherence to state and federal regulations, and operational efficiency within skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) and long-term care settings.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Clinical Oversight & Compliance:

Monitor compliance with CMS regulations, state licensing requirements, and nursing home policies.

Assist facilities in preparing for state and federal inspections and addressing survey deficiencies.

2. Staff Training & Development:

Provide education, mentorship, and leadership training to clinical staff.

Implement best practices for clinical care, infection control, and resident safety.

3. Quality Improvement & Resident Care:

Evaluate clinical programs and recommend initiatives to enhance resident outcomes.

Analyze incident reports, falls, infections, and readmission rates to implement improvement plans.

Promote a resident-centered approach to care, ensuring dignity, respect, and quality of life.

4. Interdisciplinary Collaboration:

Work closely with Administrators, Medical Directors, Therapy Teams, and Corporate Leadership to improve care delivery.

Qualifications:

  1. Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state(s).
  2. Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) or Nurse Consultant in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
  3. Knowledge: Strong knowledge of CMS guidelines, state nursing home regulations, and best practices in geriatric care.
  4. Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Travel: Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region.
