Job Summary

We’re looking for an energetic and well-connected Promoter to drive buzz, guest attendance, and brand visibility for Upstairs Bar (located in Zuzu in downtown Detroit). As a Promoter, you'll play a key role in curating the guest list, building hype around events, and ensuring the right crowd shows up for the right vibe.

  • Street Promotion & Outreach: Actively promote events on-site, at partner venues, and in the community to build interest and RSVPs.
  • Lead Generation: Identify and build relationships with new guests, friend groups, and social circles who align with the restaurant's target clientele.
  • VIP Coordination: Collaborate with the internal sales and events team to bring in VIP guests and groups for elevated experiences.
  • Brand Building: Represent the brand professionally and consistently—whether online or in-person—helping elevate visibility and reputation.
  • Partnership Support: Assist with local partnerships and collaborations with influencers, hotels, and nearby businesses.
  • Performance Tracking: Report attendance and promotion efforts weekly; track your network’s turnout to ensure continued growth.
  • On-Site Vibes: Be present at key events to greet guests, facilitate introductions, and enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Other Duties: Jump in wherever needed to support event success and guest satisfaction.

What We Expect of You

At ELIA, we use our unique experience and contributions to deliver more than value – we set new standards! We seek someone that is looking for more than a job – we want to work with someone who is as passionate as us about what we do and how we go about doing it.

  • Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented with guest lists and RSVPs
  • Experience in promotions, hospitality, or events is a plus
  • Ability to draw and retain a consistent crowd
  • Professional reputation; dependable and drama-free
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and hustle mentality
