Job Description

The Contracts Manager I is an exempt, entry-level professional position that supports the management of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) compliant contracts and subcontracts across various types including Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Time and Material (T&M), and Firm Fixed Price (FFP). This position offers foundational experience in federal contracting, working under the guidance of more senior contract personnel.

Responsibilities


  • Supports the administration and management of FAR-compliant subcontracts, including single award and IDIQ subcontracts.
  • Provides coordination and documentation support across headquarters and field operations.
  • Helps prepare and submit accurate and timely deliverables; ensure contract files are maintained in alignment with internal processes and procedures.
  • Tracks and compiles documentation for subcontractor RFPs.
  • Monitors and reports on vendor expenditure versus contract cost ceilings; assists with invoice reviews and submissions.
  • Acts as a liaison with subcontractors under supervision to facilitate execution of subcontracts and modifications.
  • Supports the completion and review of representations and certifications.
  • Contributes to proposal development and packaging of submission materials.
  • Provides audit support for internal and external (including government) audits under guidance.
  • Assists with the documentation, updates, and maintenance of subcontract management procedures.
  • Delivers timely and responsive support to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, in alignment with professional growth.


Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Contract Management, or a related field and 2 years of experience in government contracting (DoD preferred); OR 4 years of relevant experience in government contracting (DoD preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
  • Clear, proactive communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.
  • Exposure to CPSR standards and government contract compliance.
  • Familiarity with CPFF, T&M, and FFP contract structures.
  • Understanding of the contract lifecycle from award to closeout.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote, fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.


Location

Remote-Home office location must be within the contiguous United States. Candidate must be available during North American Central Time Zone business hours.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Deltek/Costpoint.
  • Familiarity with GSA schedule administration.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
  • Exposure to Joint Venture arrangements.
  • Active Secret clearance or eligibility for DoD Secret clearance.


Additional Requirements
  • Must pass background screening and be able to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
  • Some weekend, after-hours work, and travel may be required.



Salary

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000
