CHIEF SUPPLY CHAIN OFFICER

The Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO) will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s end-to-end supply chain strategy, ensuring operational excellence and cost efficiency while maintaining high service levels. This role oversees global sourcing, procurement, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution to optimize supply chain performance and ensure compliance with regulations. The CSCO will work closely with key stakeholders to drive efficiencies, enhance supplier relationships, and implement best practices in supply chain management.

  • Develop and implement a robust global supply chain strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives. Establish policies, procedures, and performance metrics to ensure seamless operations.
  • Direct global sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term partnerships with key suppliers. Ensure supplier compliance with quality, cost, and delivery expectations. Develop risk mitigation strategies for supplier-related disruptions.
  • Manage the end-to-end logistics network, including freight, transportation, and last-mile delivery. Enhance efficiency in warehousing and distribution centers while reducing transportation costs. Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to optimize delivery performance.
  • Oversee inventory control systems to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory costs. Utilize demand forecasting models to align inventory levels with customer demand. Implement data-driven decision-making for inventory replenishment.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs laws, and sustainability initiatives. Develop and execute risk management strategies to address potential supply chain disruptions, including geopolitical risks, supplier failures, and economic fluctuations.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives by implementing AI, ERP systems, automation, and predictive analytics to enhance visibility and operational efficiency. Identify process improvements and innovation opportunities within the supply chain.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to ensure alignment between supply chain capabilities and business needs. Support new product launches and market expansions with effective supply chain strategies.
  • Establish KPIs and track performance in key areas such as order fulfillment, supplier performance, cost savings, and operational efficiency. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Implement sustainable supply chain practices, including responsible sourcing, waste reduction, and carbon footprint minimization. Align with industry best practices and corporate sustainability goals.
  • Provide exceptional leadership to the Supply Chain teams.
  • Train and develop team members, give direction, leverage global capabilities, and hold team members accountable.
  • Supports proper utilization of ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience in supply chain leadership roles, preferably within the CPG industry.
  • Proven expertise in international sourcing, procurement, logistics, and distribution.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. import regulations, customs compliance, and global trade practices.
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar supply chain budgets and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Track record of implementing supply chain technologies, including ERP, AI-driven analytics, and automation.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with complex global operations.
  • Spanish fluency it’s a must.
  • Experience negotiating with vendors, external warehouses, and transportation companies.
  • Strategic vision and long-term planning skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and achieve results with a diverse group of colleagues.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The team member must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The team member is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
