About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Research Information Officer (CRIO) to lead the future direction of IT in support of clinical care, education, and research. This distinguished leader will also serve as core faculty in the Department of Biomedical Informatics and Medical Education. The CRIO will be responsible for developing and overseeing an organization-wide research IT strategy, providing strategic and tactical leadership, and managing a dynamic portfolio of research IT services. The role includes oversight of the budget and personnel in the research IT group and the Biomedical Informatics Core, as well as a leadership position in the Institute for Medical Data Sciences. The successful candidate will be an experienced leader with a grant-funded research portfolio in clinical/translational research informatics and CTSA leadership experience. The ideal candidate for the CRIO position at the company will be an experienced leader with a strong background in research information services within a complex academic health system. They must be able to provide strategic leadership, operational excellence, and have a proven track record of working with a diverse group of constituents. The role requires the ability to plan and execute strategic initiatives, develop strong relationships, and work collaboratively. The CRIO will be expected to have a grant-funded research portfolio relevant to clinical/translational research informatics and CTSA leadership experience.
