Salary Range

Minimum: $104,071; Maximum: $140,802. Salary offers will be made within the posted range based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Review applications and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Compile review comments and inspection notices.
  • Attend meetings to guide stakeholders through design and construction processes.
  • Communicate project status with department staff.
  • Maintain knowledge of airport construction projects for inspection coverage.
  • Provide emergency response support for fire and life safety evaluations.

Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of experience in building inspections or plan review.
  • Preferred ICC certifications (Building, Mechanical, Plumbing Plans examiner/Inspector).
  • Knowledge of ICC codes, standards, and construction principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Accela, Bluebeam, SharePoint.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid Washington State Drivers License or ability to obtain one.
  • Work schedule typically MondayFriday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with possible weekend or emergency work.
  • Work environment includes office and field work, with potential exposure to hazards.
  • Must establish and maintain residence in Washington State.
  • Pass TSA and FBI background checks.
